Happenings

Hello all!  Cupid has been settling in to being back with us.  He has been doing many different things this year and we hope he will continue to make mischief.  One on the best things he did was bring out Lego Advent Calendar which the kids have loved putting together each morning.  The calendar this year has a link on the computer that you put a special code in each day and you can see you lego creation on the screen.  They are LOVING it!!!!I posted pictures of what Cupid has been doing and I hope you all enjoy.

SLEIGH RIDE!!!

This weekend we attempted to take pictures for our Christmas card.  Getting 3 children to all look at the camera, smile and sit still is no small task but we got a few shots that we can use.  Now I have to sit down and create the card.
Braden lost his first 2 teeth this weekend.  He was so excited to see if the tooth fairy would come.  She did and she brought $8!!!!!!  The girl tooth fairy wanted to bring $5 however the boy tooth fairy got involved and left $8.  If this continues the tooth fairy may go broke just coming to our house!!! LOL!

We hope you are all having a great holiday season!

Christmas Blog Time!!!

It's that time of year again!  Christmas Blog time!!!!!!  We have the house almost fully decorated.  The kids loved decorating this year and were very helpful.  Logan was so excited to see the ornaments and all the animals that make noise.  He has been pressing buttons all day long.  This year we put out some of my Grandma's decorations.  I miss her so much it is wonderful to have them around and feel like she is here in spirit with us.  While it was alittle sad to see them and know she is no longer with us it was great to share them with my children and tell them about Granny.  Kamden remembers her but the boys sadly do not.
We will be decorating the real tree this week.  It is up and has lights but no ornaments.  Cupid Mistletoe has joined us again and he brought our Lego Advent Calendar. This year he brought a Star Wars one.  The kids are so excited and can't wait until December 1st.  Cupid has not made any mischief yet but we are sure he will begin his naughty tricks soon:)
The weather has turned colder this week and the kids are hoping for snow soon.  Personally, I could pass on the snow but Greg and the kids love it.  I will post more later this week.
I hope all of you are having as much fun as we are getting ready for the holidays!!!!!

Almost Time!

So we have been super busy trying to get everything ready.  Well Greg and I are.  The kids are just excited for Santa, Grandma, Poppy and Aunt Jen to come.  They love being on vacation and are currently playing Yatzee in the bathroom.  Not sure why but they are not fighting and they are happy!

Cupid Mistletoe has been getting more and more comfortable with us and has been causing trouble around the house.  He has had a marshmallow fight with the Toy Story soldiers, played Yatzee, spent some time in the kids Christmas trees, and even brought a video game for the family.  Family Game Night is a fun game as we have enjoyed playing it.

I hope you are all having a wonderful time getting ready for the holidays!

Waiting on the tree

Well this weekend was for decorating the second tree.  We have been so busy that we were behind.  We bought a tree Friday evening and got it up.  We gave it LOTS of water and waited.  The next morning the tree still had not opened very much so we waited.  We watched Christmas movies and relaxed.  Saturday night while the kids slept Greg put up all the lights.  This morning we woke up, ate breakfast and started putting on the ornaments.  All 3 of the kids were so excited and were really interested in the ornaments.  With all the ornaments we have we could fill 3 trees but we only do 2 so we could not put them all up.  Logan kept walking around saying, "HO HO HO!  Merry Christmas!"  He was so cute!  Kamden and Braden were as patient as they could be while we decorated.  It was hard for them to take turns since they were just so excited.  I was just afraid they would knock the tree over trying to reach up high.  Finally they just started to ask Greg to help with the higher ornaments.  Braden even got to sit on Greg's shoulders to put up a football ornament!  So now the house is completely decorated!!!!  I posted a couple pictures for you to enjoy!:)  I will post more as I take them!

Inspired

So my friend Renee has a blog for her family and I read it regularly.  She inspired me to do the same for my family.  Some of our friends and family are near and many are far but this will be a great way for you to all keep track of us.  It will also be a wonderful way for the kids to read about things that we have done that they may forget in the future.  Speaking of remembering this will also help me remember events in our lives since sometimes we are so busy that I forget what I ate for lunch the day before!  LOL!!!
I will update later when I have more time since the kids are waking up!
